A unique opportunity to join a leading international organisation at the cutting edge of Congress and Exhibition Management at Director level, a rapidly expanding company of internationally minded people from an array of professional and cultural backgrounds. You will be a natural leader with a flair for 360 degree management from proposal and content through logistics to delivery and final reconciliation. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing client relationships and maximising account potential.
£40-45,000 plus excellent benefits
The Role
- To act as the Project Director and be responsible for the development of client relationships in order to maintain and increase business opportunities.
- Overall responsibility for high quality delivery of client events from initial proposal through to final reconciliation.
- To manage and develop the client relationship at a senior level with a view to maximising the client business opportunity to the full.
- To be responsible for specific Client Account Mapping and strategic client development plans and activities.
- To make and manage client appointments and the preparation of relevant proposals and budgets (working alongside Sales Business Unit).
- To be responsible at a senior level for the delivery of projects on time and within budget – meeting and exceeding client’s expectations.
- To monitor progress against targets and company profit margins.
- To keenly develop and manage supplier relationships and to actively see opportunities and cross sell product practices.
- To oversee and monitor project progress through their team.
- To monitor and maintain quality and adherence to processes, identifying and contributing to their improvement.
- To provide leadership, direction and support to the team whilst maintaining motivation and enthusiasm to successfully deliver the project
- At a senior level to be fully responsible for all project budgets from conception through to reconciliation.
- To drive for excellence in customer service and quality delivery.
Your Profile
- Six to seven years relevant experience with management responsibilities
- Educated to degree level/professional qualification or qualified by experience
- Ability to think at a strategic level
- Experience of planning, developing and delivering events and communication programmes in the private and/or public sectors
- Experience of working across industry sectors
- Good destination knowledge of UK and overseas
- Good knowledge of marketing concepts and implementation
- Proven experience in advanced budget monitoring and management
- Proven track record of managing large scale projects in a service environment
- Interest in current business issues
