Project Manager – Event Management role
Think you can get things done brilliantly? Are you the sort of event manager who always delivers on time? If you’ve got a proven track record of delivering stellar events, conferences, road shows in an agency environment; our prestigious client is looking for someone just like you.
We’re recruiting a Project Manager for a leading events management agency that produces everything from on-the-fly road shows to conferences catering to up to 8000 people at a time. This flexible role for our communications agency client, based in the Midlands and requiring a travel, needs someone with exceptional planning skills.
You’ll be responsible for building and sustaining client relationships while leading diverse projects, taking responsibility for the full event management cycle.
Key duties will include
- Organising promotional events, road shows, conferences, product launches and corporate hospitality, taking overall responsibility for each project.
- Working with our clients to interpret their requirements and producing full production proposals to aid co-ordination within the group.
- Effectively managing assigned budgets for all projects, leading negotiations with internal and external parties to ensure satisfactory profit margins are achieved and, where possible, exceeded
- Managing feedback from delegates and key stakeholders in the overall process
You’ll be evaluated on
- Your ability to deliver projects on time and to not simply satisfy our clients but exceed their desires and expectations.
-  Your ability to deliver projects within budget
- Development of potential new clients and revenue streams
You’ll need
- A minimum of 12 months proven experience in an events management role, preferably with agency experience catering for events with over 150 people.
- A flair for building rapport with your team and our clients, with excellent listening and communication skills.
- Proven planning and organisational skills, the ability to multi-task, and a willingness to go the extra mile to keep clients satisfied.
- Demonstrable experience of financial and budget management.
This isn’t a just 9 to 5 job.
